Mastering the ability to go quiet just long enough before fans get too antsy for new music, Aries makes his timely return for the holiday season. With his second single of 2023, following up the standout release “SNAKE EYES,” –  Aries gives listeners “CABIN FEVER,” a signature blend of the genre influences that have contributed to Aries’ growing cult following.

Like all Aries tracks, “CABIN FEVER'' is melodically driven, both within his vocal range, but also in the layered, intricate production. Aries constantly impresses me with the way his songs manage to be rough around the edges, sonically colored with saturation, yet still so polished and pop-leaning.

He dives in on the songwriting, venting on being inside for too long when he says “in the house for a very long time / soul searching found me online / No end to my reach, got a hand on the skies / Stop bein' so emotional, what you smokin' on? (Aw yeah) / 'Bout time I open up, you can't roll with us.”

Maybe it’s because Aries dropped his last album BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU around this time in November two years ago, but I almost felt a song was on the way. “CABIN FEVER” retains the skeleton of what makes Aries’ music so enticing, but still feels like some new skin with the progression in his sound overall.
