"eighty five 911" is the latest drop from ASTN, an LA-based artist who also happens to be the epitome of cool. His effortlessly smooth cadence lends itself perfectly to the R&B-type beats as he sings about the reality of moving to LA as a young, rising star. Singing, “Lost track of myself, too in love with the money and the wealth,” the track is vulnerable yet calm and collected. Juxtaposing reflective lyrics with a vibey instrumental, ASTN has created a track that brings one into a dream state. Not to mention that his snippet has gone pretty viral on TikTok.

ASTN has mastered a sound that culminates elements of R&B, jazz, and indie-pop, all of which flow together seamlessly with his silky vocals. Coining his own brand as "soulful pop," ASTN is bringing something unique to the music scene. Working with Interlude Studios, ASTN has spent 2020 honing his craft, preparing to begin his next musical chapter. So far, I’d say he’s off to a great start.
