Back in March, bazio made his musical debut with “get out !” Upon first listening the single felt like quite a lot to latch onto, but in hindsight it is quite clear that it was simply a sneaky glimpse into his musical universe. His second single, released in June/ May was the perfect complementary track to establish a pool of regular listeners. Switching between fast and slow, and high and low, “criminal” felt like an accurate extension to “get out.” Now, flipping the coin to a brighter side, both figuratively and sonically, the Australian singer offers up his third single, “crazy love.”
Right out the gate, “crazy love” feels like the perfect track to tackle a bustling day, or night, out. Weaving in and out of gritty isolated bass lines and concrete pounding choruses, the track feels like the perfect joyride you just can’t get enough of. Speaking of the chorus, I don’t think it gets any better than this one. A twist on the classic and addictive “dance instruction chorus” bazio encourages you to take after the title and go a little crazy (“Jump, rave, jump rave/ I know this a love song, but man, that’s okay”) and he isn’t wrong. One of the best ways to get your mind off, or intensify, the aftermath of Cupid’s bow is physical excursion, with a side of reflection. So, what better way to do so than by dancing along to a song dedicated to love – both romantic and musical; why resist when you can let it wash over you and go crazy, love?
Another successful addition to bazio’s growing discography, “crazy love” is a summer must-have, no ifs or buts.
