BLXST and Red Bull Records Team Up with Amazon Music To Create The AIR EVGLE Sky Lounge

In another impressive activation event from Red Bull Records, the label joined forces with Amazon Music and their Rap Rotation playlist to promote BLXST’s newest project, Before You Go and his clothing line EVGLE on Saturday afternoon. Titled the AIR EVGLE Sky Lounge, the aviation-themed event was held in a dark, cool warehouse off the LAX exit. Pulling into the open lot as air planes soared overhead felt like getting ready to take a first class flight to visit RnB’s hottest act.

The activation featured a handful of exclusives including limited edition AIR EVGLE merchandise and unreleased BLXST music video viewings. There was a fully stocked snack bar, several themed 360 photo booths, flight attendants, a DJ and so, so many fog machines. BLXST himself was gracious enough to spend over 3 hours taking photos with lucky fans who got time slots to see the artist.

When I entered the venue I was greeted by a flight attendant who handed me a heavy, metallic gift card good for a whole year of Amazon Music (now I can check out their acclaimed Spatial and Ultra HD sound quality that my producer friends have been raving about). I then waited in line behind giddy fans who had driven all the way from San Diego to see their favorite artist and take a photo with him on the press runway.

Once I got my photo with a very polite BLXST I headed over to the merch corner and pre-ordered the beautifully designed custom AIR EVGLE t-shirt that was on display there on Amazon through a standing iPad.

Then I headed over to the main attraction – a reconstructed airplane cabin that used elevated sets of plane seats and a projector to show unreleased BLXST music videos. I was shown to my seat by a very well-dressed flight attendant, put on my headphones and was transported to the RnB universe where I watched three different music videos including “Every Good Girl” in HD.

BLXST announced the Before You Go tour on his Instagram on Monday morning that will span North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
