It’s not often that you get to see one of your favorite songs performed live before its release, and I’m happy to say that "Words" by Liam Brock was one of those few special times for me. Notably he is fresh off of opening for the indie giants Arcy Drive, and the fact that he is putting himself in the company of such a great band for his first ever opening slot is telling of how bright his future will be.
Liam is yet another artist from the growing Cleveland/Akron music scene coming out of Ohio, and he is one of the most electric performers in the circuit right now. His first project welcomed us in with surf rock anthems surrounding the Summer months, and now he is returning with his first single in over a year in the form of an acoustic ballad. "Words" is a song that I felt deep in my core from the moment I first heard it, and it almost makes me question the depth of how much I am able to feel because of how heart wrenching and descriptive the track is.
Words is a perfect release for the fall season as we all begin to retreat indoors, and it’s hard to argue how settled he feels within the genre on only his second stab at the stripped back sound. Over the last few years I’ve been searching for local artists to support and uplift, and Liam Brock simply makes it easy.
