Still reeling from the momentum of last year’s tissues EP, LA-based artist PIAO has reason to feel confident. After taking time to enjoy the fruits of her labor, she has returned with a new single “Cardcaptor,” an indestructible alt-pop revelation. Not only do her eyes seem to be on the prize, but it certainly feels as if it's obtainable now - she’s closer than she’s ever been, and it sounds like she can sense the moment as well. Outfitted with synths, guitars, and drums, the song packs a punch that creates a raucous environment without being overstimulating. Accentuated by PIAO’s bring-the-house-down vocals, “Cardcaptor” is an instant favorite for anybody who gives it a listen. 

While the past year has been lacking in new music from PIAO, she’s found ways to keep herself busy and growing. She recently capped off a supporting role for Ashley Mehta’s tour, as well as performing at KCON in Los Angeles. The acclaim of last year’s Tissues made her return much-anticipated, and “Cardcaptor” rewards fans’ patience.
