Cleveland born musician turned Colorado transplant, Willy P, released the laid-back visuals for his track “Good Love” off his eighth EP Moon Child. The singer and occasional rapper uses layered vocals, indie pop-ish synth, and a unique monologue/down stepping keyboard intro to signal in the good vibes. “Good Love” dives into the production style of the seasoned musician: giving listeners an all-exclusive tour of his bedroom studio, the man behind the mic, and the DJ queuing the tracks for our summer setlist.

“I ain’t seen no one like you,

And for you I tell the truth,

I’m a true, and you knew that baby.

Need self love, well wishes and good lucks,

Big kisses and big hugs, manifesting good love baby.”

We want good vibes and Willy P is happy to oblige. “Good Love” is reminiscent of those early 2000 Mac Miller vibes - that waviness, funk, and flow that told us “it’d be okay” if you just listen to the song. Flash forward a decade and Willy P emulates the icon in this vibey showing of his musical ability. Add it to your playlists ahead of the summer because this is definitely a late-night summer jam begging to be put on repeat.
