June 13 - 15|Barcelona, Spain
You don’t even have to leave Barcelona, as a new event looms on the horizon, which is Sónar. This 3-day gathering reinvents what old-school party-goers and ravers are used to.
Sónar blends artist performances with workshops, talks, and exhibitions for tech professionals and enthusiasts alike. There are nighttime parties and daytime editions with over 70 activities.
June 20 - 22|L’Aldea (Tarragona), Spain
This one is a must-visit for anyone addicted to dub, as it’s the most sizeable gathering of a kind. Reggae will also be played, which is a contribution from the genre authority Rototom Sunsplash.

June 23 - 27|Zrce, Croatia
Hideout is an annual celebration of electronic music with all-day and all-night parties on land and water. It takes place on Pag, an Adriatic island and a tourist hotspot in Croatia.
Owned by the UK media giant Global, the festival boasts excellent organization and top-notch lineups. So it’s no wonder it gets rave reviews and ranks high among European EDM events.
June 29 - July 6|Roskilde, Denmark
Held in the Danish city of the same name, Roskilde was originally created as a European analog of Woodstock, a gathering for hippies and other countercultural youth.
Nowadays, the half-century-old festival is the largest Scandinavian event that embraces all popular music genres, including pop, rock, metal, hip-hop, rap, R&B, folk, and more.
July 10 - 14|Novi Sad, Serbia
Moving from the north of Europe to the east, we stop in Serbia to attend the country’s most famous music happening. Paradoxically, Exit is an entrance to a world of music without borders.

July 19 - 28|Boom, Belgium
Tomorrowland is a household name for anyone who’s deeply into house, trance, and other electronic music styles. It’s one of the most recognized and award-winning EDM events ever.
The Tomorrowland universe is made up of a number of worldwide sister festivals and spin-off happenings. Boom in Belgium will host two weekends: July 19 - 21 and July 26 - 28.
August 7 - 12|Budapest, Hungary
For over 30 years, hundreds of thousands of people have flocked to the Danube island every year in early August. What attracts them is 1,000+ extraordinary shows in music and art.
Sziget attendees, known as Szitizens, get to see the best names of the international rock, pop, hip-hop, and electronic scene, as well as theater, circus, and other artistic manifestations.
August 15 - 18|Kiewit-Hasselt, Belgium
There’s another multigenre fest coming up shortly after the Hungarian event. Set in charming countryside scenery, Pukkelpop is definitely worth a visit, even though it’s less publicized.
First held in 1985, the festival has been steadily gaining momentum ever since, largely thanks to A-list acts. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Radiohead, Eminem, Rihanna, just to name a few.
August 21 - 25|Saint-Cloud, France
Rock en Seine is a rock gathering, indie and alternative-infused. The venue is a garden in Domaine National de Saint-Cloud, an incredibly beautiful park on the outskirts of Paris.
Starting in 2003 with 10 bands and about 20,000 visitors, the festival has increased those numbers 5x. This year’s lineup also contains about 50 performers, with some of them being:
August 29 - 31|Lisbon, Portugal
The summer music festival season culminates with Meo Kalorama in Lisbon’s Parque da Bela Vista, an illustrious concert venue. 2024 is the third edition inspired by the previous success.
Kalorama has a versatile soundtrack stuffed with everything from pop and rock to drum and bass, techno, and other shades of electronic music performed by local and global acts.
September 4 - 11|Dhermi, Albania
Albania is quite an exotic destination, and that makes ION even more intriguing and magnetic. The festival’s location is truly eye-pleasing, as it’s right on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

September 20 - 22|Limassol, Cyprus
BEONIX has turned out to be a blast since its kickoff in 2022. The mesmerizing Cypriot happening has enriched the European EDM festival scene with unique shows and experiences.
BEONIX 2024 will maintain last year’s concept of a dreamlike journey to the 9th planet, with the historic ETKO as the launching platform. The upcoming iteration’s lineup includes:
October 16 - 20|Amsterdam, The Netherlands
ADE is 2 in 1: a conference and a festival for everyone in love with electronic music. The festival is staggering in scope: thousands of artists perform at two hundred venues in Amsterdam.
The daytime conference brings together musicians, producers, business owners, and techies involved in the electronic music industry who wish to keep up with the latest advancements.
October 31 - November 3|Torino, Italy
C2C, or Club To Club, rounds out the 2024 Europe music festival season in our review. The event emphasizes creativity and experimentality and promotes the avant-pop scene.
2024 is the 22nd iteration of the festival, which will last for 4 days and be packed with DJ appearances, live sets, and immersive performances taking place all across Torino.
