New Jersey native Blankman, aka Jason Reid releases his debut single “Mr. Henri,” showcasing his polished talents as a songwriter, producer, and vocalist. Starting off as a letter, Blankman eases listeners into his story with heavenly guitars, only to make sure they stick around with the increasingly passionate Dijon-esque vocal growl you hear in the chorus.

For a debut track, this is up there in terms of quality and potential promise. At 27 years old, Reid seems to have a firm plan for what he wants to do with his project, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on what’s to come next.
