As these things usually go, festival season has officially snuck up on us and it is only a matter of time before it is in full swing. So in the spirit of catching up on lost time and preparing for the best live events of the summer, here are 10 music festivals you should attend this summer.

Re:SET

‍Location: Atlanta, Bay Area, Boston, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, San Diego, Washington, D.C.

A touring festival set to take place all throughout June, Re:SET is the newest, and not to mention most intriguing, concert series occurring this coming summer. Conceived with both artists’ and fans’ experiences in mind the event guarantees “less noise” and “more music.” Headlined by the likes of LCD Soundsystem, boygenius and Steve Lacy, Re:SET sure sounds like a music lovers' dream come true. And if its mantra and headliners weren't enough to ensure your attendance, its line-up, which also seems to be operating off a “quality over quantity” motto, should do the trick.

THING 2023

Location: Historic Fort Worden, Fort Townsend, WA

If you are looking for a live music event to please your friends and groups with contrasting music tastes you should consider checking out THING. Taking place from August 25th to 27th the THING festival – formally known as THING: music and arts and other things – brings together the best of every corner of the music industry. 

Headlined by impressive acts (Fleet Foxes, Lil Yachty, Sylvan Esso, Thundercat, and Cigarettes After Sex) the festival does a great job at booking big names, while rounding up additional talents to complement its roster. Some honourable mentions include Black Country, New Road, The Beths, and MJ Lenderman.

Lollapalooza Chicago

Location: Chicago, IL, Grant Park

It almost seems impossible to go into festival season without considering the legendary musical behemoth that is Lollapalooza. Year after year, Lollapalooza seems to be stacked with a slew of entertaining acts. From big names to up and new commers, you can always count on Lolla for a good time. This year, the festival will be taking place August 3rd-6th. Make sure to keep an eye out for the lineup on March 21st.

Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival

Location: Manchester, TN

Set to take place a little earlier than the bulk of festivals happening this summer, Bonnaroo music and arts festival is an excellent way to jumpstart a memorable summer. From June 15th to 18th, festival goers will be graced by an eclectic mix of artists and additional entertainment throughout the weekend. This years headlining roster includes, Zeds Dead, Liquid Stranger, Kendrick Lamar, Odesza, and Foo Fighters. And to complement these starts the lineup also includes some newer musical sensations (Remi Wolf, Lil Nas X, and Rina Sawayama) and legendary musicians (Korn, Sheryl Crow, and Pixies). If any of these artists ring a bell, you should definitely consider adding Bonnaroo to your summer to-do list.

Outside Lands 

Location: Golden Gates Park, San Francisco, CA

In case you were looking to channel your inner outdoorsmen instincts and love for music, Outside Lands music festival was made for you. Headlined by Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, and ODESZA and followed up by and impressive array of artists who have recently released new records, the festival is the perfect opportunity to see your favorite acts perform new material. Set to take place August 11th-13th Outside Lands is the perfect opportunity to live your eagle scout dreams while enjoying some of the best music of our time.
