Sitting on Stacy is an eclectic trio that combines elements of rock, indie, ska, and punk. The Southern California trio, made up of vocalist and guitarist Hoyt Yeatman, bassist Kyle Hart, and drummer Trevor Smith – have created a sound that's helped them quickly gain over a quarter million social media followers. The band has two albums out currently, Obsessed and Perfectly Sane, and the single "Crème Brûlée" has just been released. The Jonas Brothers invited Sitting On Stacy to join them on their stadium tour across the US and Mexico in 2021. Additionally, the band has performed at Riot Fest and Zona Fest as part of two national headlining tours. Their highly anticipated third album is just a few months away, and Sitting On Stacy has a wealth of captivating music to share. The upcoming releases are more mature thanks to Pierre Bouvier, Rome Ramirez, Fat Mike, MisterWives, and Smallpools' collaborations.
As for "Raincoat", which released on October 27th, 2023 – Sitting on Stacy said, “We have been waiting to release this track for so long and can't wait for our fans to hear it. We wrote it a few years ago with Mike Kamerman, the Guitarist of Smallpools, and Etienne Bowler, the drummer of Misterwives. 'Raincoat' is a love song and focuses on the feeling of when you're truly head over heels about someone. We had a super fun time creating this song with them and it's been stuck in our heads ever since.” You are inevitably drawn in by the soothing yet upbeat guitar on this song, with lyrics paired with imagery such as "And when it rains, love pours out from me." The band is now on tour and is set to visit places including Texas, California, and Florida.
