After a nearly year-long hiatus, Souly Had is back with the sound that resonates most with him. In this day and age it's so easy to chase trends and make what you think other people want from you, but there's something so special about knowing exactly how an artist feels solely by listening through their music.
While I know Souly Had is seeking a reinvention of sorts, I can still say that "Paralyzed" makes sense in the context of what he's released in the past, yet it simultaneously feels like one of the freshest tracks I've heard all year. Its distant acoustic nature makes me want to kick back in my car and disassociate for the two minutes and one seconds that it runs for, and I have no choice but to continue to play it on repeat
Of course I am not a proponent for my favorite artists not releasing music, but I certainly am supportive of artists looking inward and discovering their true selves while taking a break from putting stuff out. I couldn't be happier with how Souly Had returned on this song, and I bet you'll feel the same when you give the track a listen below.
