There are many ways you can start off the new year. While most folks are still struggling to master new habits in order to remain in good standing with their 2023 resolutions, Southern California 4-piece outfit Sun Room have decided to take a different approach. Striding into the new year while blurring the lines between the musical past, present, and future, they’ve offered up their latest single “Cadillac.”

A bit of a reverse musical spin on the Back to the Future plot, “Cadillac” sees the band let loose while paying homage to 60s garage rock and the remnants of the British Invasion. Boisterous, speedy, and youthful, “Cadillac” is both relatable and enticing. Speaking on the track lead singer Luke Asgian shares, “‘Cadillac’ is a rambunctious garage rock jam about being too broke for a girl.” Filled to the hilt with infinite old school ‘round the kit’ sequences, fuzzy guitar chords, and Asgian’s frantic vocal performance, “Cadillac” is sure to make you forget all about your seasonal woes — at least for its 2 minute running time. And if you thought it couldn’t get any better, wait till you see the music video (January 19th).

“Cadillac” marks Sun Room’s grand entrance into the new year as well as the advent of their upcoming EP Outta Their Minds, due spring 2023.
